This project explores the evolution of animal release from a compassionate ritual rooted in Buddhist teachings to a profit-driven practice that disrupts ecological balance and exploits life for personal merit. By examining this distortion, the project invites reflection on humanity's misuse of virtuous deeds. The release is reimagined as a theatrical event where people watch livestreams and send money online to "free" prisoners, turning the act into a dystopian spectacle of commodified virtue.
